Etsy time: Baby Booties

So, you will probably start to notice that many of my future posts will be baby related! I have baby on the brain!

I was strolling through the Etsy world and found 3 shops that I just love! They make the cutest little booties! Check them out for yourself.

How sweet are these booties? Not only are they are
adorable, but they are also made from upcycled
materials. Love them. Find them at Wooly Baby

These are so sweet. I love the variety of fabrics
and ribbons they have. AND, on top of that the prices
are very reasonable! Find them at Lil Cubby

Oh, I absolutely love this shop. So whimsical and fun!
I want every pair of little booties in this shop!
I'd have the best dressed baby. Find them at Ivory and Moss

Monster Swap

I just wanted to share the cute Monster I received from the Monster Swap on swap bot. Its sooo cute!
His name is Harry D. Yeti. He was made by Bitty Cakes.

He has a little backpack that came with a little ball of yarn and tiny knitting needles.
Here's the monster I made for this swap and his story:
"This is the Sweater Monster.
A Sweater Monster will appear when your husband shrinks your favorite sweater.
If you are not careful the Sweater Monster will get to your husband, confuse him,
and cause your husband to shrink another one of your favorite sweaters.
The only way to stop the creation of more Sweater Monsters is to hide your favorite
sweaters from your husband.
"

I've also been working hard on restructuring my shop and blog. Here's a song that inspires a lot of creativity. I love it!

Paper Lady Wreath

New product at my shop! I've made a paper wreath out of old wrapping paper! Great to decorate your home during the holidays! Put it in the house, or on an outside door that is protected from the rain (it has a waterproof coating on it, but it should still stay out of direct rain).

Do you keep a journal?

Whether it is to write down your thoughts or sketch inspirations, I believe that every artist should have and use a journal!

In every interior design class I had, the teacher required us to sketch in our journals. An amazing way to get every thought and idea down on paper, so its not forgotten!

I always keep a small journal in my purse. I will often pull it out while shopping, out to dinner, having a drink with friends, or just walking around town. Has it happened to you when you saw something so inspiring, but could not find a pen and paper to jot it down?

I have three journals at all times. One in my purse, another in my "art studio" and one next to my bed. Since I sketch so many things, I often take my favorite pages out of old sketch books and put it in a notebook to have everything together.

Let me know if you keep a journal, and if it helps you!
