Thursday's Three: Growth

This weeks Thursday's Three was inspired by the change and growth my group of girlfriends and I have gone through. We've all known each other for years now. I didn't think it was even possible, but I enjoy and care for my girlfriends more and more with each passing year.

We've all been through a lot together: Friends passing, silly fights, miscarriages, my little birth incident, and MUCH more. I feel like we have grown even closer with all of us getting married and having babies and buying houses... doing big girl stuff!

1) This BEAUTIFUL flower is the perfect image of growth. I love the petals spraying out of it's center. SO lovely. Please visit the VERY talented and lovely Christy at Skinned Knees on Etsy. And, please check out her blog.

2) I love this silk screened art work. The Growing Human Heart. This artist also prints artwork on pillows. I love it. Please check out Utilitarian Franchise!

3) This grow sign is cut out of recycled plywood. Put over a baby's crib, over your piggy bank, in your garden... Please check out WKD Studios for more goodies. There's even a nerd word! :)

This weeks Monday's My Pick is a WHOLE shop! Fleurs de Pomme. Such a sweet shop! She has necklaces, brooches, rings, and hair pins (I'm so addicted to hair pins!)... Please check it out! AND, she's VERY nice! One thing I absolutely LOVE about handmade Etsy shops are that they are run by real people. I love it. Don't forget to also take a peek at her blog. She's very sweet and I'm sure she would love to hear from you! (She's also donated the prize for the vote off).

Here's what April (or Apple, her nickname) says: "Hello and welcome! Thank you so much for stopping by. All fabric flowers are made from deconstructed, thrifted clothing (sometimes vintage, always laundered) and various beads (sometimes vintage). Each flower is cut, singed and assembled by hand. Quantities of each style will depend on the size of garment used and what beads are on hand."

Just a little reminder...
This weeks photo challenge: Yellow...

{Cherry blossom print by ShadedMemories}

I love me some cherry blossoms AND tattoos. Which
might be why I have a cherry blossom tattoo. With all of the trees
blooming these beautiful bunches of flowers, I find myself
longing for another permanent drawing on my skin. Before
I was pregnant I was planning for my next tattoo.
But, once I got pregnant I had to put this off.

{Mike and I in Santorini in 2008}

Now I'm breastfeeding (well, pumping. That's a whole other story)
I will need to wait longer. I know I want more cherry blossom
flowers on my right wrist, from the same lady that did my shoulder,
with Laureli's name in tiny writing.

{Cherry blossom posts by shlomitofir}

I have to decide how much longer I can stand to pump
five times a day... then I can decide when to get my tattoo.
Any other tattoo cravings out there?

{Ruari's bathtime at 15 weeks}

(By the way... I know, I was lazy and used the same
blog post from my mama blog! I just love
tattoos and cherry blossoms though!)

Thursday's Three Cherry Blossom

This weeks Thursday's Three has been inspired by Curious Mess' Cherry Blossom Fabric Bowl. So pretty and unique!

I really love Cherry blossoms. I love them so much I even have a tattoo of cherry blossom branches. We have two huge cherry blossom trees in our front yard. They bloom massive bunches of cherry blossoms the first week of May. I can't wait!

Thursdays Three...

Welcome to Thursdays Three...

This week I found so many AMAZING Etsy shops! It was so hard to choose just three. But, I did and here they are:

Sbarao
She is located in Paris, France. This shop has cute accessories made from vintage items and other materials. I just love Sbarao! This is her newest shop. Please check out her other art shop Lafeecoriandre. Beautiful work!

So many people have told me this was their favorite shop! AND, I can totally tell why. What a fabulous shop! She makes embroidered cotton and linen toys. I would also use them as decoration! So cute! Check out the shop!

Cynthia del Giudice Jewelry
I am WAY addicted to jewelry (and shoes, and chocolate, and teacups, and...). I LOVE her stuff. So beautiful. And unique. She is located in Argentina. Please, check out her amazing shop! Her shop on my Christmas list!

Christmas Exchange Ornament

So, I am a part of a Blogger Ornament Exchange. AND, I am crazy and I've already made and sent out my ornament (not due until Nov. 20th). I had so much fun making it. I thought I should blog about it now because I know I will be really busy in November!

So, the lovely blogger I have does not know I have them (and I don't think this person reads my blog). I'm not too worried they'll figure out this is their ornament!

Basically I read up on their blogs and found out some things about them. The main penguin is my gift exchange person, while the two smaller ones are their kids. The heart represents any other important people in their lives!

This ornament is titled, "Paper Flying Penguins".

I hope this person will love it! Please check out my shop in the next week or two. I will finally be posting the many holiday items I have been making!

Earlier this evening I was reading Stella Birds Blog and her recent post totally reminded me of myself! It was funny.

I pretty much always wear the same sweatshirt while I work. I actually thought about it earlier today when I realized that I've been to the Postal Annex 3 times in the past 5 days and I wore the same sweatshirt and shoes with some jeans. By the 3rd day, I thought the lady working at the Postal Annex gave me a look like, "Hmmm, she should probably wash that!" Which I did, but I just love it!

Also, Stella Bird also wrote about a song she listens to over and over again (Noah and The Whale- 5 years time, which I LOVE too). I too have a song I listen to over and over again that I dance to in my chair (and sing to my kitties and dog).

Santogold L.E.S. Artistes. I love it! I'd love to see her sometime, but she's only performing on the East Coast.

Is there a song you LOVE to listen to while you work?

By the way: I know I was supposed to post my giveaway today, but for some reason my body decided to sleep in till noon (never happens). SO, I didn't post it. I will tomorrow! Please check it out!

Custom Paper Bird Order...

I just recently had a custom Paper Bird order. These were ordered to go in a little baby girls room. I matched them to her existing bedding. They were so much fun to make and I'm so happy with how they came out! Check them out! And, if you'd like me to create a custom order for you, please send me a conversation at my store! I LOVE custom orders!
